Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our cafe operates smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional service to our customers. This position involves a variety of tasks, including food preparation, assisting with catering services, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Provide support during catering events, ensuring all food and beverage needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities. Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders and answering queries about menu items. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout service hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Experience in catering or bartending is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
