We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our lovely team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our customers while assisting with various tasks related to food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about hospitality.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and responding to customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting shortages.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting. A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a passion for providing outstanding hospitality. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure during peak service times. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
