We are seeking a friendly and proactive Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities

Greeting customers warmly and providing attentive service throughout their visit Taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction Preparing and serving beverages, including coffee and other hot drinks, adhering to food safety standards Assisting with food preparation tasks as required, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area Restocking supplies and ensuring the cafe remains tidy and inviting at all times Handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale system with accuracy Supporting catering functions and special events when needed Maintaining knowledge of menu items to answer customer queries confidently

Skills

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable Barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is advantageous Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Organised with good attention to detail to ensure smooth service delivery Flexibility to adapt to busy periods and handle multiple tasks effectively

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 25 per week

Work Location: In person
