Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food and beverage offerings meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities. Support catering operations during events, ensuring timely service and presentation of food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations during busy periods. Uphold food safety standards throughout all aspects of food handling and preparation. Assist with barista duties, preparing coffee and other beverages to customer specifications.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with catering services will be considered an asset. Experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. A strong understanding of food safety practices is required. Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition are essential for providing outstanding hospitality. Pay: From 12.50 per hour
