Cafe Assistant / Front of House - Summer 2025

Finchingfield Lavender & Camping, CM7 4JB, surrounded by stunning countryside and a sea of lavender

Our cafe isn't just a place to grab a coffee - it's where people come to celebrate, relax, and soak up the charm of our lavender fields. From birthday brunches to countryside catch-ups, our guests are here for a feel-good experience, and we need team members who can help make it magical.

What you'll be doing:

Being the friendly face of the cafe - greeting customers with a warm smile and happy energy.

- Creating a fun, welcoming vibe - helping everyone feel like they're part of something special.

- Chatting to guests about what's on offer and how to make the most of their visit.

- Showing lavender pickers how and where to cut their own bundles.

- Serving drinks, cakes, and snacks from our self-serve counter.

- Clearing tables quickly and efficiently, and keeping everything clean and tidy inside and out.

- Washing up and keeping the dishwasher running smoothly throughout the day.

- Checking toilets are clean and stocked (they're a short walk from the cafe).

- Handling card and cash payments with care and accuracy.

- Following our usual checks - food safety, cleanliness, temperature logs, etc.

- Occasional help on the campsite may also be required.

What we're looking for:

A

- someone who loves making conversation and helping others Confidence in a busy environment - you'll be proactive and keep things flowing A team player who brings good vibes and supports your teammates Experience in hospitality is a plus, but

full training is provided

The details:

Contract role

from end of May to end of August Part-time or full-time hours available. You'll invoice Finchingfield Lavender fortnightly and be paid via BACS
