We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with experience in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while helping to maintain the smooth operation of the cafe.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene are maintained. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Support catering events as required, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods. Help with stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the cafe environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, cafe or hospitality setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
