Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our cafe. Duties

Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering food and beverages Assist with food preparation and simple cooking ensuring all items meet quality standards and safety regulations Support catering services for events or special functions as required Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen surfaces Restock supplies and organise stock levels to ensure smooth daily operations Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper handling and storage of ingredients Provide assistance with barista duties, including making coffee and other hot beverages Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience

Experience

Previous experience in catering and simple cooking, serving is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Experience working in a restaurant or cafe environment is advantageous Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory; training can be offered for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial but not required; training will be provided A personable attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for delivering outstanding customer service
