We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen spaces. Support catering events by preparing food items and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cafe operations during busy periods. Help manage inventory by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to management. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of food handling and preparation.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with catering or bartending is advantageous. A strong understanding of food safety practices is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding hospitality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude towards helping others and contributing to the overall success of the cafe.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 11.44-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
