Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership skills to manage a dynamic team. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure exceptional service and high-quality food preparation, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of cafe operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards. Train and mentor staff in culinary techniques, customer service, and cafe policies. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations. Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while managing food production efficiently. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management strategies. Handle customer inquiries and feedback to enhance the overall dining experience. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients are sourced for the cafe.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques. Previous supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is essential. Excellent team management skills, with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff. Strong background in hospitality, ensuring exceptional service delivery at all times. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Experience in kitchen operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with barista skills is advantageous, enhancing the cafe's beverage offerings. Strong leadership qualities, capable of making decisions that benefit both staff and customers alike.
