Yasmina Cafe, a new and vibrant Lebanese cafe and bakery in Newcastle upon Tyne, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in setting up the cafe from the ground up, working closely with the director to create a welcoming and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the cafe.
Manage and train staff to ensure excellent customer service.
Collaborate in menu development and maintain high food quality standards.
Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and cash flow.
Implement marketing and promotional strategies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
In the Setup Phase, You Will:
Be heavily involved in designing the menu, operational processes, and the overall customer experience.
Play a key role in procurement, negotiating with suppliers, and setting up deals.
Implement industry-relevant software systems for efficient operation.
Lead staff recruitment and training.
Contribute to the interior design and layout planning.
Assist in developing initial marketing and brand strategies.
Participate in financial planning and budget management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
Engage with the local community to establish Yasmina Cafe as a new culinary destination.
Requirements:
Proven experience in cafe or restaurant management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of budgeting, inventory management, and marketing.
Passion for the hospitality industry and a drive to create a successful cafe.
