Our Organisation

The Cheltenham Trust is the lead provider of culture, heritage, leisure and sport in Cheltenham and we recognise that we need the right people with the right skills to help us achieve our vision, goals and further growth.

The Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic and contemporary venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room and Heritage Cafe, Cheltenham Town Hall and the Garden Bar, The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales stadium. We deliver a wide range of services and activities including hires and events, festivals and shows, exhibitions, leisure, cafes and in-house catering.

Your role as a Cafe Supervisor

Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will lead our team members in running an efficient food and drink service to all our customers, inspiring them to always provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards.

As part of the trust team you will also have the opportunity to work on our community events.

Your responsibilities

You will lead our cafe team during the weekend operational hours, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming environment for all. Be responsible for maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure everyone's well-being. Ensure our venues are clean and presentable at all times, creating an inviting atmosphere for customers. Leading and organising our growing children's weekend parties program. Support and train your team members, ensuring they reach their full potential. Work closely with the F&B Manager to complete administrative tasks such as stock control, ordering stock, creating rotas, managing team absences. Sharing customer feedback and identifying improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working in catering and hospitality, ideally in a supervisory role. Experience working as a barista or being a trained barista. Awareness of food plating and drink presentation techniques. Strong supervisory skills and the ability to motivate and lead your team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of food and beverage operations and health and safety regulations. Attention to details, ensuring the venues are presentable. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
