We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable experience by providing excellent service and maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. This position requires a passion for food and beverages, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations when necessary.
Operate coffee machines and other equipment to prepare drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Skills
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Proficient in serving food and beverages with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Experience in food preparation with attention to detail in presentation.
Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
