We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our small but mighty city centre cafe. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily operations in our cafe. This position requires a passion for food and hospitality, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas and kitchen spaces.
Ensuring timely delivery and presentation of food items.
Preparing beverages and serving customers responsibly.
Work with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Handle cash transactions
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
