Cafe Assistant (Experienced) - Permanent Position

Hours:

Up to 30 hours per week

Availability:

Must be available for weekend and week day work

Pay:

Starting from 13 per hour, rising depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced

Cafe Assistant

to join our friendly and busy cafe team on a

permanent, long-term basis

. Must have previous experience working in the cafe / hospitality industry.. This role is ideal for someone with strong front-of-house experience who takes pride in excellent customer service and enjoys working as part of a team.

Kitchen experience is preferable, we serve a range of hot and cold meals such as morning breakfast options, toasted sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh sandwiches, salads, a selection of homemade scones and traybakes. All training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Front of House:

Providing warm, friendly, and professional customer service Serving customers efficiently and confidently Operating the POS/till system and handling payments accurately Serving food and drinks to a high standard Clearing and cleaning tables promptly Keeping the front-of-house area organised, clean, and well presented Ensuring fridges are fully stocked, labelled, and tidy

Kitchen Support (Preferred):

Preparing rolls, toasted sandwiches, and general cafe/bistro-style food

Assisting with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as required Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

About You:

Previous cafe or hospitality experience is essential

Confident working front of house in a busy environment

Comfortable using POS systems Organised, reliable, and able to work well under pressure A team player who can also use their initiative Kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential -

full training will be provided
