Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards. Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, providing excellent hospitality at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables and serving stations. Support catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food and beverages. Operate coffee machines and prepare beverages Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards throughout the cafe. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is highly desirable. Strong catering skills, with the ability to assist in various event setups. Excellent serving skills, showcasing a customer-first approach in all interactions. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety practices. Barista experience is an advantage, particularly in crafting specialty coffee drinks, but training can be given). A genuine passion for hospitality and providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 21 per week
