Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The Cafe Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily cafe operations, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities

Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing a welcoming atmosphere Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment Restock supplies and ensure the cafe is well-organised throughout the shift Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system Support catering events as required, ensuring smooth service delivery Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service at all times

Experience

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided Experience working in a restaurant or cafe environment is advantageous Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial to ensure compliance with hygiene standards A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality are essential attributes for success in this role
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
