About the Role

We are

in the process of taking over a cafe

and are now recruiting a

Cafe Assistant

to join our team

as the takeover completes

.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys working with customers and supporting both front-of-house and kitchen operations. The role will begin

shortly after the transfer of the business

, with final start dates confirmed during onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

Providing friendly, professional customer service Preparing and serving hot and cold food to order Barista duties (training provided if required) Operating the EPOS till system and handling transactions accurately Supporting kitchen operations and food preparation Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety Working flexibly across different shifts and duties
About You

Previous experience in a cafe, hospitality, or kitchen environment is desirable Comfortable working both front of house and in the kitchen Willing to be barista trained (or already barista trained) Confident using, or willing to learn, an EPOS till system Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Flexible with working hours and days, as the cafe operates

7 days a week

Hours & Flexibility

Minimum of

16 hours per week

Shifts will vary across the week, including weekends We aim to provide

at least two days off per week

, subject to rota requirements
