Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality sector, particularly in catering, serving, and food safety practices. Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks Assist with food presentation and ensure adherence to food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen surfaces Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Experience

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory Barista experience is desirable but can be trained on the job Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is an advantage Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment will be beneficial A friendly attitude with strong communication skills and a professional appearance is essential Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
