Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our cafe. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, taking orders accurately and efficiently Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks Assist in food safety practices to ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times Support catering events as needed, helping with setup, serving, and cleanup Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment Restock supplies and ensure that all areas are well-organised throughout shifts Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and ensuring a positive experience Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic food preparation skills are beneficial A professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-13.05 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
