The Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath isn't just a place to grab a great breakfast and delicious coffee - we're a warm, family-friendly hub on York Road that hosts live music, creative workshops, and delicious food! We are looking for a fantastic part time Cafe Assistant Manager to join our team and help us keep the magic happening.
What You'll Be Doing:
As the heart of our front-of-house team, you will help us ensure everything runs smoothly and everyone feels welcome.
Your key focus will be on:
Creating Great Experiences: Making sure every customer is well looked after and leaves happy, handling all enquiries with respect and a smile.
Leading the Standards: Keeping our beautiful public areas and displays (especially our cakes!) immaculate, handling opening/closing, cashing up, and stock presentation.
Promotion & Buzz: Getting involved in exciting promotions (like special menus and seasonal events) and ensuring our daily specials are advertised. You'll also help keep our social media buzzing with posts!
Team Support: Working closely with the Kitchen and Events teams to pass on feedback and assist with our busy programme of workshops and live gigs. You will also be working closely with the cafe manager to coordinate team development; health and safety compliance; and maintaining consistency with all the delicious things we send out to our lovely customers.
