Cafe on the Mound, the busy city centre coffee shop is recruiting an assistant manger to start immediately. Situated near the top of The Mound the cafe attracts a vibrant trade from tourists, students and locals alike.

The cafe is open Monday to Saturday during the daytime. This is a full time, five-day week position. Typical cafe shifts are from 8am-3pm or 9am-5pm.

Duties will comprise full cafe manager role during the manager's absence and you will otherwise be carrying out general front of house activities, barista work, cleaning and some simple food preparation. Previous barista experience and thorough knowledge of HACCP and Cooksafe is essential.

What we are looking for most of all is someone with enthusiasm and flexibility to work with our diverse and friendly team. You will also have an eye for detail. Punctuality, reliability and fluency in English are required. Applications from students will not be considered.
