We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis store at Liverpool one. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for hospitality.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet quality standards. Provide excellent customer service, taking orders and serving food and beverages efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment. Support kitchen staff with food production tasks as needed, ensuring timely service during peak hours. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support when necessary. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or cafe environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is advantageous. Experience in team management is needed. A background in hospitality or restaurant services will be beneficial for this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential qualities for success in this position.
