Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our cafe. This role involves assisting with food and beverage preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in catering, food safety, and hospitality within a dynamic team setting.

Duties

Welcome and serve customers in a courteous and professional manner Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages. Assist with food preparation and presentation according to hygiene standards Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions efficiently Maintain cleanliness of work areas, counters, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations Restock supplies and ensure the cafe is well-organised at all times Uphold high standards of hospitality to enhance customer satisfaction

Experience

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable Experience with food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is beneficial Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional attitude Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to busy periods and varied responsibilities

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
