We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our cafe runs smoothly, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Support bartending duties as needed, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain health standards throughout all operations. Collaborate with team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery. Assist with catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food at various functions.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is advantageous. Skills in bartending or catering are highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and provide outstanding service. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure during busy service times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.01-12.21 per hour
