Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a keen interest in food and beverage operations. The Cafe Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily cafe operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers, and assisting with food and drink service.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner Prepare and present food items, including light food preparation and presentation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately Restock supplies and ensure the cafe is well-stocked throughout the shift Uphold food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer enquiries promptly and professionally Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the cafe

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous Experience working as a barista or in a restaurant environment is a plus Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary A positive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service
