Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times. Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Support catering services by preparing and presenting food items for events as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns promptly. Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills when required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of cafe operations.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is highly desirable. Strong hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential. Experience in catering services would be advantageous. Barista experience is preferred, with the ability to prepare various coffee beverages. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
