As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, assisting with food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and ensure all food safety standards are met Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee and tea, while adhering to barista standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Support catering services during events or busy periods Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall customer experience Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant environment is preferred Knowledge of food safety practices is essential Barista experience is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
