Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our cafe operates smoothly and efficiently while providing exceptional service to our customers. This position involves a variety of tasks, from food preparation to customer assistance, and requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for the food industry.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders and answering queries about menu items. Handle basic maths for cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting, with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.30-14.06 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
