We are seeking a sociable and friendly individual, who is also a good communicator and can work alone or as a team. Must be able to work under pressure, as it can get extremely busy.
We require an individual to work from 16 or more hours per week including weekends. This could potentially be an all year round position for someone who has a longer work experience background.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking in the cafe kitchen
- Help with meal preparation and assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of ingredients
- Provide excellent customer service to cafe patrons
- Cash handling and card payments
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary or cafe setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

Other duties include:
To prepare hot drinks, Serve cold beverages, cakes and other food items when support is required. To ensure the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned before, during and at the end of service and is prepared and ready.
