The Garden Room at Annett's Garden Centre is on the lookout for passionate a Chef, Cook or deli assistant who are interested in joining a growing team ahead of a busy summer season.

Position Overview

:

We are seeking a friendly, passionate, and dedicated Chef/Cook/Deli-assistant to join our cafe. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, excellent personal & food hygiene, a great sense of pride in food preparation and an interest in baking. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a vibrant, growing team and a chance to develop your hospitality career as part of our cafe.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage your section to ensure food is made to specification and ready in appropriate time Operate kitchen equipment such as fryer, hot plate, hob and oven safely and efficiently Assist with menu developments and suggest creative and trendy ideas for specials Maintain a clean and organised workspace Good personal hygiene, reporting to work in appropriate kitchen attire Understand and uphold and manage food hygiene requirements Assist with basic kitchen responsibilities Work as part of a team to help all team members perform efficiently Excellent attention to detail

Experience:

An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to develop yourself is the most important thing to us! However, we are on the look out for people with 2+ years of kitchen experience, to include...

Organising yourself and your section to be prepared for service

Preparation of meat and vegetables

Operating gas cooker, fryers, hot plate and other kitchen appliances

Experience with serving hot food, particularly breakfast & lunch items
