Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate

Chef

to join our city centre culinary team. The ideal candidate will have proven kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dishes in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee kitchen operations, support and manage the team, and ensure the highest food quality and safety standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and enjoys contributing fresh ideas to menus and service.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety in line with health regulations. Manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and order supplies as needed. Work with management on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events. Ensure quality control throughout preparation and service. Assist in menu planning that highlights seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills across a range of cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements. Highly organised, able to multitask, and remain calm under pressure. Strong passion for hospitality and outstanding customer service. Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to take initiative.

5-day working week

(Monday to Saturday).

Closed every Sunday

9am - 5pm

Thurs:

9am - 7pm

Sat:

9am - 2pm

(early finish!) City centre location with excellent transport links.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
