Noshery & Co, located within Springfields Garden Centre, is looking for a dependable and skilled Cook / Chef to join our friendly kitchen team. We are a busy daytime cafe serving classic breakfast and lunch dishes, homemade cakes, light bites, hot meals and seasonal specials. This role would suit someone with experience in a similar kitchen environment, who takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfasts, lunches, and light meals to a high standard Ensure all dishes are presented consistently and in line with cafe standards Support daily food preparation including chopping, baking, portioning and batch cooking Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times Monitor and maintain food quality and freshness Ensure correct food storage, labelling and rotation (FIFO) Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly Work as part of a small team to ensure smooth and efficient service Follow all food hygiene, safety, and allergen procedures Assist with receiving deliveries and stock management Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials where appropriate Clean down kitchen areas at the end of the day and ensure opening / closing procedures are followed

About You:

Previous professional cooking experience is required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team Positive attitude and pride in your work Able to work weekends as part of a rota (no evenings)

Hours:

Daytime hours only. No evening work.
