Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment. Handle cash transactions and support basic math calculations for order processing. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members. Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer satisfaction. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and operations is an advantage.
