, your role encompasses overseeing the daily operations of the cafe. Here are the key responsibilities and duties associated with this position:

People:



Interview, hire, and onboard new team members

: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires. Liaising with Cafe Manager throughout

Compliance

: Monitor completion of onboarding modules by individuals and periodically review their training. Collaborate with the Cafe Manager on team member performance during the 4-week/3-month probation period.

People Management

: Foster positive relationships with team members through regular check-ins and effective communication. Supervise the team, address poor performance, and celebrate successes.

Coaching and Inspiration

: Support and inspire your team to perform at their best.

Lead by Example

: Uphold company principles and standards consistently.

Effective Communication

: Maintain open communication with all stakeholders.

Assign Roles and Responsibilities

: Efficiently allocate tasks to employees for operational efficiency.

Timely Orders and Inventory Management

: Ensure orders are placed promptly and manage product storage to prevent waste.

Waste Management

: Record waste and staff meals in the stock system, implementing action plans as needed.

Stock Policies

: Enforce all stock-related policies with team members.

Menu Suggestions

: Propose new menu items based on customer preferences and feedback, following the St Mocha Specials Process.

Supplies Verification

: Receive delivered cafe supplies and verify correct items and quantities.

Profit & Loss:



Labour Cost Management

: Monitor and manage labour spend daily, weekly, and monthly within budget.

Customer Retention Strategies

: Identify strategies to retain and attract customers.

Cash Handling

: Ensure adherence to cash handling practices to minimise variances.

Customer Relations:



Build Customer Loyalty

: Cultivate friendly relationships with customers to enhance loyalty.

Customer Satisfaction

: Ensure all guests receive a great experience and resolve any complaints promptly
