We're looking for an experienced and passionate
Head Chef
to lead the kitchen at
Forest Cafe - Midmar
, a vibrant venue known for its high-quality brunch and lunch service. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a busy kitchen and make your mark within a well-established hospitality group.
About the Role
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all aspects of kitchen operations. From delivering exceptional food to leading and developing the kitchen team, your focus will be on maintaining high standards and driving service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily food preparation and service with a strong focus on presentation and quality
Maintain consistency in all dishes served, ensuring they meet our high standards
Work efficiently during service and support the team to do the same
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive and skilled team
Oversee all kitchen documentation, including CookSafe compliance, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules
Work within set GP targets
Take full ownership of the kitchen, including hygiene, safety, and team management
