We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of 2 of our cafes within close proximity - The Market Cafe, located in Chesterfield's town centre and Blueberry Cafe in Queen's Park Sports Centre, Chesterfield. Your time will be split equally across the 2 cafes and you will be supported by 2 Team Leaders.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food production and preparation. As the Cafe Manager, you will lead a team, ensuring exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food standards and quality. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and fostering a positive work environment for staff.
Responsibilities
Manage daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food production.
Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the cafe is well-stocked.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete satisfaction.
Implement training programmes for new staff members, focusing on hospitality standards and operational procedures.
Monitor financial performance, assisting in budgeting and cost control measures.
Experience
Proven experience in a management role within the cafe or hospitality industry is essential.
Strong background in food production, with knowledge of kitchen operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with customers and staff alike.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food service is highly desirable.
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall cafe experience.
