to lead the daily operations of our small but fast-paced cafe. This is a great opportunity to join a young business that's growing quickly and to help shape how things are done from the ground up.
You'll be involved in every aspect of running the cafe from leading the team and managing stock, to jumping in on the grill or wiping down tables when needed. We want someone who leads by example, brings fresh ideas, and helps implement clear, fair systems that support both staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily running of the cafe and ensure high standards at all times
Create and manage weekly staff rotas
Hire, train, and manage front and back of house staff
Handle stock ordering, stock rotation, and inventory checks
Prepare and cook food during busy periods or when covering staff
Maintain a consistently clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Open and close the cafe, including cashing up and counting daily takings
Step in where needed, whether that's serving customers, cooking, or cleaning
Set and maintain high standards of customer service and team performance
Bring forward new ideas and help implement better systems and fair policies
About You:
Proven experience
in a cafe, hospitality, or food service management role
Comfortable with food preparation and basic cooking
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong organisational abilities with great attention to detail
Willing to roll up your sleeves and lead by example whether it's cooking, cleaning, or serving
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
Flexible availability, including early mornings and weekends
Passionate about building a strong team culture and great customer experiences
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
