Swift Sports Coaching have an exciting opportunity for ambitious and committed individuals to join our successful team.
Purpose of role
To cover the class teacher's Planning, Preparation and Assessment time. Deliver high quality P.E lessons and lunchtime, after school sports, holiday clubs for Primary aged children in schools within Bristol and South Gloucestershire, following the school curriculum and company guidelines.
The desired candidate will have relevant knowledge and experience of teaching P.E to Primary aged children. We are looking for an ambitious individual who is looking to progress and grow as a key part of our enthusiastic and motivated team. The role requires an intuitive, passionate, driven and committed person to lead P.E and sports coaching sessions, maximising potential in the area.
Full training and on-going development opportunities provided.
Primary Working hours:
Between the hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. Up to 37.5 hours per week (all year) - including term time and half term school holidays.
Salary
:
12.50 - 15.50ph (Dependent on experience & qualifications).
Duties include:
- Responsibility for classes of up to 30 Primary aged children in KS1 / KS2 covering PPA.
- Strong classroom management
- Strong behaviour management strategies
- Follow and teach the P.E national curriculum.
- Plan and deliver high quality P.E sessions
- Complete termly assessments for teachers.
- Liaise and communicate with school staff and parents including Senior Leaders.
- Prepare children for the lesson, including supervising changing.
- Ensure the safety of all students.
- Follow school / company code of conduct
- Flexibility to meet the needs and requirements of the school and organisation
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good initiative and enthusiasm
- Lead training and development for new staff
- Lead on a specialist area - e.g. specific sport (football, gym etc)
- Key holding responsibilities
- Lead and organise half term provision and holiday camps, being the main point of contact for staff, children and parents/carers.
It is
essential
that the successful candidate has the following
- Full UK driving license and own car is essential.
Excellent communication skills
Prioritise the safety and well being of the young children they work with
Organised and punctual
Can work alone or as part of a team
- Are able to deliver good or outstanding PE lessons
Relevant experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
DBS Update service - Swift Sports Coaching can apply for this for you. DBS must be deemed satisfactory.
Level 2 or higher qualification in sport
First Aid qualification
