Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with the ability to create visually stunning and delicious confections. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Cake Decorator will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all cakes meet customer expectations and are prepared in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, ensuring artistic presentation and quality. Prepare cake batters, frostings, and fillings while adhering to recipes and food safety standards. Package finished cakes for delivery or display, ensuring they are secure and visually appealing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and kitchen area. Collaborate with team members to fulfill catering orders and special requests. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Stay updated on cake decorating trends and techniques to continuously improve skills.

Experience

Previous experience in cake decorating is required, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Background in food production or preparation, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting. Culinary experience with knowledge of baking techniques, food handling, and safety practices. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various baking tools and equipment. Customer service experience is a plus, as well as any catering or kitchen experience that enhances your ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
