Valcomm is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Calibration Technician
to join our growing technical team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of precision equipment across
life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, and laboratory settings
.
Your primary base will be our
Eurocentral facility in Scotland
, with the option to alternate weekly with our
Essex (Wickford)
site, depending on your location and preference. Minimum requirement for Scotland working is alternate weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
UKAS-accredited and traceable calibrations
on:
Pipettes
Balances
Temperature & humidity sensors
Temperature-controlled chambers
Other laboratory and process equipment
Use and manage the
PEMAC asset/maintenance system
to:
Track calibration statuses
Generate and maintain calibration schedules
Report calibration outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders
Liaise directly with
end-users and clients
to arrange on-site or return-to-base calibrations
Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered in a timely manner
Support continual improvement of calibration processes and procedures
What We're Looking For
Experience in equipment calibration, ideally with pipettes, balances, and environmental sensors
Knowledge of PEMAC or similar maintenance/asset management software (training can be provided)
Strong organisational and communication skills
A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach
Ability to travel within Scotland and potentially Essex on a regular basis
Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
