About Us

Project Yonder designs and builds high-end, off-grid adventure campervans. We're known for clean engineering, marine-inspired interiors, and specialist 4x4 builds. Every van is bespoke, but built on strong, repeatable systems.

We're growing fast and need a sharp CAD designer to help us level up our design and production process.

The Role

You'll be responsible for turning concepts into build-ready designs.

You'll be working closely with our team to:

Design full campervan layouts and furniture systems Produce CNC-ready drawings and cutting files Develop and refine our standardised layouts Improve build efficiency and reduce errors Support custom client requests and variations

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models Produce technical drawings for manufacture Design cabinetry, pods, storage and systems layouts Work with electrical/plumbing/mechanical constraints Maintain and improve design libraries Prepare files for CNC and suppliers Revise designs based on workshop feedback

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) Experience designing for real-world manufacturing Understanding of tolerances, materials, fixings and assembly Ability to think practically, not just visually Good organisation and version control Comfortable working in a fast-moving small team

Ideal (Not Essential):

Experience in campervans, boats, vehicles, furniture, or interiors CNC / joinery / cabinetmaking knowledge Experience with sheet materials, ply, composites, aluminium Interest in overland, adventure or vanlife

You'll Fit In If You:
