Job Description

We're looking for a Campsite Assistant to work at Great Langdale Campsite. This role is all about making sure that people have their best possible experience of an outdoor holiday with the National Trust.


Hours:

675 hours a year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract.


Includes weekend and bank holiday working. 5 shifts a week, on a rota. Shifts could be 7am- 4pm, 9.30am- 7.30pm or one late shift on a Friday 12.30pm- 9.30pm.

Fixed Term Contract until 6 October 2025


Salary:

12.75 an hour

Internally, within the National Trust, you'll be known as an 'Outdoors Holidays Operations Assistant'.


For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What you'll be doing:You'll help to keep the campsite and bunkhouse clean, well-maintained and welcoming for all guests. This includes practical tasks like cleaning and basic maintenance, reporting any repairs needed and generally being a friendly contact for everyone staying here.


You'll be greeting people, helping with their bookings and dealing helpfully with their enquiries or complaints. You'll also help to run the campsite shop when needed. Everything you do day-to-day will make a big difference to someone's holiday, and help to make things run smoothly and to the standard that guests expect from the National Trust.
