Pinc Woodlands college is seeking to appoint a Campus Lead for its Stirley Farm Campus based at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

5 days per week 09.00h-17.00h



Salary: 35,385.00 per year, Term time only (38 weeks)

The role



This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new campus start-up. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving learner recruitment and expanding student numbers. Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with local councils, schools, and other relevant stakeholders to promote our educational offer. Through strategic engagement and effective communication, you will ensure that our campus is recognised as a trusted referral partner within the community.

Ongoing as Campus Lead you will be responsible for creating a supportive culture, leading and supporting a small team of Teachers and Learning Support and up to 20 students accessing work-based certificates and diplomas in wildlife and countryside, conservation and creative futures at our Specialist Wildlife and Conservation College.

The Campus Lead is responsible for the day to day running combined with the safeguarding and wellbeing of your team and students. As Lead you will oversee, track and monitor your students and their holistic progress, while nurturing supportive relationships with family and linked professionals. You will prepare reports and lead on EHCP meetings with your team, parents/ carers and local authorities. You will manage the setting and lead on connecting locally within the wildlife and countryside sector and in the local community, for a rich and diverse learning experience.

Experience of leading teams within education, coupled with a solid background in SEND are essential, for this stand out opportunity. Extensive experience of leading pastorally in education/SEND and leading others within a team. You do not need to be a qualified Teacher.

You will be able to demonstrate safeguarding knowledge and experience at managerial level. You will be able to lead a team who educate, safeguard and support neurodiverse students, (16-25-year-olds). This will require sustaining of strong partnerships with professional Local Authority teams and the Wildlife and conservation sector.

The Specialist College for wildlife and countryside education has an alternative approach to education and supports additional/high needs routes to wellbeing, engagement and employment. Mindfulness to be respectful, responsible, safe and kind, are at the core of the college's values. The successful Campus Lead will be supporting the Campus and its development, joining a fantastic team of teachers, SENCOs, Learning Support and wellbeing specialists to work together to support the needs of the young people.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Campus Lead, you will:

Have previous experience of leading teams in Education Be able to work flexibly and build partnerships Have confidence in leading high quality, innovative initiatives Have a background in SEND education Be passionate and inspiring in leading a team and confident in leading and developing new concepts Be confident in managing operational HR matters Have a comprehensive understanding of working with young people attributed Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will need to be confident as a designated safeguarding lead, following up any safeguarding issues or concerns when necessary and share appropriate information with external agencies involved in supporting the needs of the young person.
