What we do
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People transform the lives of deaf people by the provision of a hearing dog. We train more than 200 dogs per year for deaf adults and children. .
What you will be doing
The Canine Healthcare Administrator is responsible for working with Veterinary Practices across the country to ensure the charities working dogs' health records are comprehensive and up to date. This will include working with Partnership Instructors, Partnership Healthcare Liaison and Operations Healthcare Liaison.
The Canine Healthcare Administrator position is a 6-month fixed term contract, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Part time hours may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with veterinary practices across the country to obtain up to date canine health records.
Accurately record new health information and create database entries, as appropriate, in a timely manner.
Assess and update current health records to ensure accurate data records for working dogs.
Work with Partnership Instructors to obtain weight record for the dogs and ensure each dog has an accurate ideal weight range set on the database.
Work with Partnership Instructors to obtain clip records for the dogs and ensure these records are accurately entered onto the database.
Work with Partnership Instructors to obtain preventive parasite control records and ensure these records are accurately entered onto the database. Identify any risk where a dog may not be receiving the required parasite control and work with the healthcare team to rectify this.
About you
Experience working in a veterinary practice is essential for this role.
Ability to work alone but also to communicate successfully and support a wide variety of people.
