We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills to effectively diagnose and repair automotive issues.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs.
Conduct equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repairs.
Perform heavy lifting as required when handling parts or components.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive systems.
Familiarity with welding techniques is an advantage.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
A valid driving licence is required; additional qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are beneficial but not mandatory.
