VACANCY

Work at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh as a Caramel Waffle Baker.

4-5 days a week, around 6 hours daily, must be available during the full employment period.

Temporary: 27 July start, 27 August end.

We're looking for hard-working individuals with the right personality to join our pop-up bakery at the Fringe Festival at George Square Gardens, Edinburgh.

The successful candidates will independently prepare, bake and serve delicious Caramel Waffles, and will help with setting up, general cleaning and keeping our stall tidy.

As a waffle baker, you'll be at the heart of our business and deliver to our customers a food experience unlike anything they've seen before.

The Fringe Festival is a unique location to work. At George Square Gardens, you'll find yourself surrounded by other colourful food stalls. You will work both independently and with colleagues.

It is paramount that you share our commitment to communicating passion in everything we do; from the way we present ourselves, practice cleanliness, nurture our craft and serve our customers.

It is important that you can work well under pressure.

We are looking for:

- Staff members to work 4-5 days around 6 hours daily during the Fringe Festival.

Shifts are typically around 6-8 hours. Day and Evening shifts.

What we offer:

Includes day and evening shifts We will provide you with a food hygiene course and training for the role. Experience in hospitality or baking is a plus but not required -- we're mainly looking for someone who is eager to learn Paid overtime may be available

Please note that you must be or have the following:

Physically able to stand for long periods at a time Comfortable cleaning -- we use the "clean as you go" method and have strict hygiene standards Not be camera shy - we may ask you to participate in a photo/video for our socials and many customers love to take pictures and videos of us at work Based in Edinburgh or surrounding areas Have own transport (or ability to catch reliable public transport)
Wholly Waffles is a street food business with Dutch roots. Our goal is to introduce as many people as we can to the traditional Dutch Stroopwafel.
