We are looking for someone to join our team here in our busy cardiology outpatients department at the Princess Royal University Hospital, part of Kings NHS trust. The job is for one full time and one part time band 3 cardiographer.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate with the young and the elderly, in a clear a positive, concise manner, inspiring confidence in the service. This role involves a lot of physical activity, walking, pushing wheel chairs and standing.
You must be a person centred individual, able to cope and communicate clearly with patients and relatives in a positive, professional, adult and responsible manner. You must also possess good numeracy, literacy and computer skills and have the ability to learn technical and physiological concepts within a reasonable timescale. Experience of working with the general public in a hospital diagnostic unit would be an advantage, along with clinical manual handling experience.
This post will be based at the Princess Royal University Hospital Site, Bromley.
You will be a self-motivated team member who is organized, flexible and reliable;
You will provide a quality ECG service, which includes 24 hr ECG, 7 day ECG monitoring and BP monitoring, there is also an opportunity to learn other skills to assist the Clinical Physiologists. The ideal candidate would already possess the skills to perform the above listed investigations, dependant on skills of the successful candidate training will be provided.

To perform Adult ECGs in a variety of situations, including both inpatient and outpatient settings.
To perform Paediatric ECG's in urgent cases on the ward. (training will be provided based on experience).
To competently perform resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings including event recorders.
To identify abnormal recordings and bring to the attention of senior colleagues.
To complete local competency training in ECG interpretation.
To assist the cardiac physiology team with patient set up for ETT and ExEcho.
To perform all administration tasks as required, to facilitate booking and scheduling patient appointments.
To maintain close liaison with medical, technical and nursing staff.
