We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant/Care Support Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Monitor patient conditions by observing vital signs, mental state, and physical health, reporting any concerns promptly.
Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and legal regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols.
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to facilitate safe transfers and mobility.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote well-being and independence.
Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive environment for residents or clients with conditions such as dementia or autism.
Skills
Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure immediate response in emergencies.
Familiarity with medication administration procedures while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions.
