Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for our residents. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring that care plans are followed, and fostering a warm and supportive environment.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalised support is provided. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment at all times. Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. Ability to follow care plans accurately and work as part of a team. A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
