Care Assistant/PA Live-in (Self-employed) - Drivers Licence required

We are looking for a Self-employed experienced carer to work with our client who resides in Bristol.

Live-in carer/personal-assistant must be willing to work in a flexible rotation.

Start date: 7 July 2025

Rate: 165 Per Day (1,155 Per week)

Job Details:

Providing a personal and practical care service to our client, assisting her with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing/showering, and using the toilet. Assisting our client with mobility problems and other physical disabilities. Confident driver that is able to drive a small automatic van within the UK. Shopping for and preparing meals and tidying up afterwards. Cleaning, laundry, ironing. Caring, feeding, and walking the dog. Any reasonable tasks required from time to time. Knowledge of Muscular Dystrophy and PEG Feeding. Experience in Manual Handling is essential.

Requirements:

Driver Licence There will be a requirement to take our client to different parts of the country for work and leisure. She splits her time between her flat in Bristol and her family in Northampton. Some flexibility will also be required for the timing of handovers. PEG feeding experience would be an advantage Muscular Dystrophy experience would be advantageous Right to work in the United Kingdom Good Communication (in English)

About the Client:

Our client is in her thirties and lives with her husband and her little dog. She works and in her spare time enjoys all things film, art, music, and theatre-related activities. She leads a very busy life, is very active and social and so the successful applicant needs to have bundles of energy to help her live her life.

She has Muscular Dystrophy and needs help with all aspects of care, cooking, cleaning, and helping her to look after her dog. She uses a hoist, an electric wheelchair, non-invasive ventilation, a cough assist machine, suction, and also has a PEG.
Due to her condition, her environment needs to be kept spotlessly clean to minimise the risk of infection. You will be required to wear PPE as directed.
